Calling all witches and wizards, ghosts and ghoulies! There’s lots of creepy capers to enjoy at Normanby during October half term, from Hall-oween animal handling to spectacular spellbooks! Monday 21 October: Mystery Magic Workshop

Sessions at 11am and 1.30pm. Book here. A spellbinding hour of mystery and magic fun and crafts! Make your own wand, brew a potion, practice spell writing with quills, taste some butterbeer – if you dare! Take part in a hat sorting ceremony and much more.

Advance booking only, via Eventbrite. This costs £4.50 per child and is suitable for children aged 4 -12 years. Park entry also applies, or please display your annual membership.


Tuesday 22 October: Room on the Broom Storytelling

Readings at 10.30am, 1.30pm and 3pm. Join North Lincolnshire Libraries for a reading of Julia Donaldson’s classic children’s story in the beautiful grounds at Normanby Hall Country Park.

All are welcome, please meet on the lawn outside the Hall! Free event but park entry applies, or please display your annual membership.

Wednesday 23 October: Lion Learners at Halloween

Sessions at 11am, 11.45am, 12.30pm, 1.15pm and 2pm. Join Lion Learners for special Halloween themed animal handling activities. Meet creepy critters from around the world, including a snake, dragon, spider and whip scorpion! Just don’t get turned into the beautiful rabbit!

Free event but park entry applies, or display your annual membership. Please collect tickets on the day from the Gift Shop. Places limited to 20 children per session.

Friday 25 October and Friday 1 November: Spectacular Spellbooks 

Sessions at 11am and 2pm. Book here. Learn simple bookmaking techniques to make and decorate spectacular spellbooks!

Discover fascinating facts about magical medieval ingredients and then use them to create your own mysterious, mystical mumbo-jumbo. All materials provided.

Suitable for children aged 6+ and adults who still believe in magic! Sessions take place at the Park Education Rooms, next to the Splash Pad and cost £6. Park entry also applies, or display your annual membership.
