Normanby Hall Country Park will be staging the launch of the Power of Words Festival on 1 July, a month long celebration of words and stories. Lots of fun family activities will be taking place in an action packed day, including:

  • Periplum present their Imaginarium – unlock secret stories from Wonderland and discover interactive installations inspired by Alice in Wonderland
  • Frolicked Outdoor Puppet Theatre Company launch their family treasure hunt game which will take place throughout July
  • The Fabularium Theatre Company present Town Band of Bremen, a family show about four animals who share a passion for music with storytelling, live music, masks and puppetry upon a medieval cart
  • The Traveling Treasury, a magical storytelling experience that takes place in a beautifully transformed caravan, invites you to step inside the pages of a book and let the stories unfold
  • The Great North Lincolnshire Rhyme Challenge sing along with the North Lincolnshire Music Hub
  • Character Junior Fun Run 3K – Must be pre-booked (£2.80 per child – includes a medal and goody bag)
  • A Place Called Home – author meet and greet and book signing with Addy Farmer
  • Children’s University Mischief Makers activities (don’t forget to bring your passport)
