The popular Normanby Hall ‘Talks and Trails’ events return during 2018/19!

Housekeeping Through the Ages

On 23 January 2018, join the Housekeeper to find out about the roles of servants in country houses like Normanby Hall in the 18th and 19th centuries and discover the differences between housekeeping now and then.

Meet at the Hall for the talk at 1pm and afterwards enjoy a delicious winter afternoon tea

  • A cup of homemade vegetable soup
  • A selection of finger sandwiches, including: egg and cress with mayonnaise, roast ham, cheddar cheese and homemade chutney and Lincolnshire sausage rolls & scotch egg
  • Lincolnshire plum loaf, freshly baked scone with strawberry preserve and fresh cream and victoria sponge cake
  • Your choice of tea or coffee
