Family Play

There is so much for the whole family to enjoy at Normanby. Explore the park, visit the Rural Life Museum, board the Normanby Land Train and much more.

Things to do

With enough choice to keep you busy all day, Normanby Hall offers families a fun-filled day out year-round.

Playgrounds

Children will enjoy hours of imaginative play across two play areas. In the larger main playground they can explore the mega deck tower, work the sand digger and glide across the playground on the zip wire. The smaller playground, situated next to the splash pad, is perfect for little ones.

The Splash Pad

Open from 11am to 5pm daily from May to September (weather dependent). Remember your aqua shoes!

Explore the Woodland

Discover the cottage in the wood. Be inspired by the woodland animal sculptures and create your own magical tales in the storytelling area.

Farmyard Golf

Returning for our summer season is the farmyard crazy golf. The course offers great fun for all the family. Open weekends and school holidays (weather dependent). This is a chargeable activity provided by a third party, no pre-booking required.

The Miniature Railway

Operated and maintained by the volunteers of the Scunthorpe Society of Model Engineers, the railway opens on most Sundays and bank holiday Mondays through the summer season. Rides are available for a donation to the society.

Land Train

All aboard the Normanby land train! The train runs during school holidays and at weekends throughout the summer season (weather dependent). The train ride lasts approximately 15 minutes and tickets can be purchased in the gift shop. Children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult, under 5s ride for free.

The train does not run on event days.
